More Of My Impulsive Story: The Island Of God

Impulsive.

Maybe that's the only word that best described this backpacking trip. Started by (the usual) crave to fulfill my wanderlust, me and the college mates were planning to go for a quick trip to somewhere close after this exhausting mid-term exams. After quite a long and labile decision; we were jumping around to the concluded destination: Parakan (for its ~people say~ wonderful thrift market), Banyuwangi, Semarang, Bandung, then finally Surabaya it is.

We have settled with one Surabayan hostel already when Rischa's dad told her that he has vouchers from Grand Inna Hotel in Bali for us. That point, we were faced by a hard decision really. The traveler's self of mine was attracted by the Bali FREE staying accommodation offer OF COURSE but I was hampered with some personal issues but anyway at the end finally on the D-2 we decided for Bali it is!! Yay!

Since we didn't do any preparation which in this case means SAVING MONEY (duh what do you expect from a last-minute decision?), we went to Bali by economy class train to Banyuwangi that costs only 35k rupiahs (yet it took freaking 13 hours to get there) and continuing with ferry and bus(es) to get to Kuta. Wow recalling the long lost memory of taking economy train to Bandung, eh? Exciting!

We arrived in Bali on the next day at freaking 3 AM. The check-in time in the hotel was at 12 PM so we were then strolling around the hotel and getting lost to find a cheap restaurant. We went for Warung Nikmat by the way, and it was good. It's a perfect dining place for budget travelers and I'm really suggesting you guys to go there if you happen to do backpack to Bali :D

So let the pictures tell the story shall they?
